The
Best Gear for your Racerbaby:
This
year a few racerchicks are adding to their pit
crew - so we've gone out to search for some
special gear for the future racerbabies.....
This is what we've found so far:
Gymboree had a
racer motif set - need I say more? It is the
perfect gift for the racerbaby! Cotton
mixes for easy washing - vibrant colors - how
can you say no to the subliminal messages such
as "First Place" or "Pit
Crew"? The best part is that many
pieces are interchangeable with others....as a
good racerchick knows - you don't need a lot
of clothes just the right kind to mix &
match! Prices were reasonable
(especially at the end of season sale) so the
pocketbook won't break either. Next
we found this adorable baby suit - at Sears
Point. Softer than soft this "Futuro
Pilota" or "Future Racer"
roughly translated, jumper will inspire junior
to put the pedal to the metal. Ferrari has
commissioned a children's line now that not
only includes miniature Nomex-looking suits
but separates such as T-shirts, and caps in
the famous "Fans Club" racerbear
motif. Price ranged from
$50-$55US. What
about the little feet? At a local dollar store
we found these checkered flag socks just
waiting to be worn! Junior may have to
wait a few years to go-kart but I'm positive
these socks can add horsepower when the race
toddler needs that boost of speed! At a
dollar US - I'm just sad they didn't come in
my racerchick size. The
best part of researching the baby gear for
this story was knowing that racerchick Annie
and her husband Alan brought a wonderful
future racerchick into this world this past
week. Welcome little 9 lbs. Elise and
congratulations to the whole Coulthard family!
