OIL & FILTER for the body & soul
 After an especially tough week the best way to relax for this racerchick is a "lube, oil & filter". Maybe a bubble bath and a glass of wine or some ice cream and a bad movie. Knowing that the latter was not particularly helpful in attaining a model figure I decided for the first idea. In desperate need for some attention I was lucky enough to find some incredible products from
HEAVY DUTY CO. to help me find my peace of mind.
The
"HEAVY DUTY" line of cosmetics is the brain child of California girl, Alex
Volkmann, a former make-up artist and beauty industry executive
-- she has taken a "nuts & bolts" approach to quality ingredients, incorporated an automotive concept and created a body care line geared for both racerchicks and
racerdudes.
Our first chance to try the
HEAVY DUTY TURBO SCRUB, Body scrub was a heavenly event. Think of it as an
"exfoliator" of dead skin cells for all over. Containing large granules of apricot & walnut shells with some pumice it has the muscle to generate smoother skin. It was important to gently scrub over your entire body - no amount of heavy scrubbing took off this racerchicks extra "thigh" that appears during holiday seasons
-- oh well!! For soothing and conditioning the
TURBO SCRUB contains extracts from kiwi and oranges as well as some aloe vera gel. The scent not frilly,
benefiting both genders, and is refreshing with added essential oils such as peppermint and orange. Post scrub I do feel like a have a brand new shine so off to the next item - the
CHASSIS OIL. Local racerchicks know...winter dries out skin faster than Shirley Muldowney's dragster, so this product is a must. Containing safflower, sweet almond,
jojoba, avocado, sesame and wheat germ oils it is absorbed quickly without leaving you like a grease monkey. With added vitamins and a tangerine oil smell it felt amazing to lather all over. This baby is
traveling with me from snow bank to beach!!
The only drawback is that we did not get a chance to try the other products in the
HEAVY DUTY series. The HANDGEAR hand cream " for hands that do more than wave" is a favorite among mothers to movie stars and the
MOTORWASH shower gel sounds delightful! We do hope to find a local distributor for these items since they truly are
a "must have" in our tool kit!
