Hello, I was so glad to find a website for woman racers. My husband and I are avid drag racers and our oldest son starts this year! We have been racing on and off for 18 years (more off than on these past few years). My race car is a 81 Z-28 Camaro and enjoy it greatly! I am 1 of only a few woman who race at our local track, but more and more young women are getting involved. I achieved my first, 1st place win in the Big Dawg class a few years ago. It was great beating all the guys, considering it was the biggest turn-out of 75 cars that night. It included both pro and super pro cars. I had a best run of 12.15 @ 108.92 mph. in the 1/4 mile. I am very proud of what I do considering it is a so called man's sport! I have become friends with a lot of people at the track and hope to meet more. My best run so far in my Camaro has been a 11.09 @ 125 mph. That's not too shabby considering the car is full bodied, power windows too, and weighs 3715 lbs. with me in it. Since last year we have updated the 454 and hope to get a few more 10ths out of it and run in the 10's .I love to race! !
