Kelly WilliamsWilliams Hopes For An "ELECTRIFYING" 2001 season

TORONTO, December 20  – Inglewood, Ontario resident Kelly Williams is hoping to give "shock treatment" to fans and other teams in the CASCAR Castrol Super Series in 2001. The 29-year-old Williams, a seven-year veteran of CASCAR competition will be back full time in 2001 with the acquisition of primary sponsorship Westburne Electric Supply.  Westburne signed on as primary sponsor for Williams after Wayne Donaldson, (VP of Sales and Marketing) met Kelly through the people at Klein Tools, (a supplier to Westburne) at the 2000 Molson Indy Toronto this past July. "I met Wayne there (at the Molson Indy Toronto), and he got my number from CASCAR and it pretty much steam rolled from there," Williams said. Williams was only able to compete in seven rounds of the series in 2000, due to sponsorship constraints. In the appearances she did make she was always a contender, scoring three top 10's in her seven outings. "It has been a really tough year on our whole team," Williams said. "We did the races we could on a very small budget. Without the help from AOL Canada and Kawasaki we would have been watching them on TV instead of racing. "Now with the backing from Westburne Electric Supply, we should be a strong force in 2001. I am really very happy to be back – full time."

Westburne Electric Supply is Canada's largest electrical distribution company. With locations across Canada, its' customers are Electrical contractors, Industrial plants, Public Utilities and Institutions. Westburne has 121 branches throughout Canada..

Westburne will not be the only change for Williams in 2001. She will change from Ford to Pontiac for the upcoming season. The change is like heading back to her roots for Williams, who campaigned a Pontiac from 1994 through 1998. "We just weren't getting the support we needed, plus the Grand Prix looks cool," Williams said.

With a full season to look forward to in 2001 Williams is sure she can build on the three top 10's she had in 2000. "We just have so much more to work with this year, I think it could be a breakthrough year. I can't wait," an excited Williams said. AOL Canada will be back as an associate sponsor in 2001 for Williams, along with Inside Track Motorsport News. The all new Williams Motorsports Pontiac Grand Prix will be unveiled in its new Westburne Electric Supply colours very soon.
