Jackie
Weiss
Hi, my name is Jacqueline Weiss, but everybody calls
me Jackie. In October 2004 I discovered kart
racing. When I'm practicing at my home track XPlex here
in Vegas, I am usually the only female in my class.
After a one-day school with the Johan Schwartz
Endurance School and a half-day school at the XPlex
Racetrack I felt ready for to go further and I wanted to
do real races.
2005 is my first race season - I am racing in the
XPlex Championship and in the RMax Challenge Race
Series. I am practicing as often as I can to improve
myself and get a better chance to finish podium and
compete the boys.
So far I had two podium finishes and I took the
checkered flag in a special race event - an 6hr
Endurance Race (6pm until midnight), where I was the
only girl in a boys-team. I was the youngest
racer, too.
For
me racing is first of all FUN!
I do have a blast on the racetrack, and I have more fun
each time because I'm getting better and better Some of
the boys know me already and they know also that I'm a
real competitor.
I did persuade my younger sister to go on the
racetrack. Finally we practicing together. I show
her the ideal line and tell her what to do from my
experience. I noticed she is doing very well in a
shorter time then I did.
My sister Desiree and I will be the new generation of
the Formula One "Schumacher's" on the racetrack! Wanna
bet on it?
