AHEAD, TELL HER SHE DRIVES LIKE A GIRL! SHE’LL
TAKE IT AS A COMPLIMENT. Growing up as the only
girl with two other siblings, Deborah was
exposed to lots of “tomboy” activities. It was
only natural that she developed such a passion
for racing. Her father and brothers kept her
behind the controls of all sorts of speed
machines as a youngster, from motorcycles,
4-wheelers, jet skis, to Legend racecars. No one
who knew her was surprised when she made the
jump to racing stock cars.
As she got older, she attended several racing
schools where she instantly excelled. So much in
fact, that she earned 1999 runner-up Rookie of
the year honors in the Late Model Stock Car
division. As one instructor put it regarding
Deborah’s racing skill, “Deborah has the talent
to drive a racecar at any level of competition
that she desires. Now, all she needs are
valuable seat time and a sponsorship, and she’ll
go far. She is a very smooth driver.” (1999)
When race day comes, she repeats her 4-step
motto that helps put her in the groove and put
her game face on. FOCUS, PATIENCE, RELAX, and
SMILE, then she drops the hammer! Deborah aims
to keep her promise to her team, fans, and
herself. When the race starts she will give 110%
to put the #12 Monte Carlo up front.
Deborah is a confident young lady currently
making her mark at Nashville Speedway in the
NASCAR Weekly Racing Series. Entering her third
year in Late Models, she has shown the
consistency and knowledge needed to attain the
championship. Nashville Speedway USA is a .596
mile NASCAR sanctioned track with 18-degree
banks. The Renshaw Racing team is expecting
another exciting year of excellent and
unparalleled action for all involved including
everyone from the team to the fans.
“Racing is my way of life . . . I want a
successful career of it,” explains Deborah. Her
future goals are to be paired with an
exceptional race team to acquire a championship.
Her ultimate goal would be to progress to the
ranks of Winston Cup.
