Pittman
Coming from a racing
family, I have pursued a racing career for over
18 years. Some of my racing highlights:
Started racing at
age 15 Won
the very first race I entered in July 1985. 150
lap Enduro race with 97 other men and I was the
only female in the race.
My next start was a
"Powder Puff" event. I lapped nine of ten
drivers in a 10-lap race. That was the first and
last "Powder Puff".
1986-1989 brought
several wins, seconds and thirds in the Pure
Stock class.
Track championship
in 1990-behind in points after 22 races, I
finished a strong second to take the
Championship from the 1989 track champion.
From 1991 to 1999 I
continued honing my skills at many local Georgia
& Florida tracks. During that period I assumed
other racing related roles including a racing
show on a local CBS affiliate and racetrack
promotions. The Waycross Motor Speedway was
saved from extinction by signing a one year
contract and turning it around for the owner.
In 2000 I decided to
increase my racing efforts. The results were a
win and several top 5 finishes. I also began to
race trucks and finished 2nd in my first ever
event.
In
2001 I concentrated on truck racing with an eye
to move up to the NASCAR Craftsman series. I
have finished as high as 5th, usually running in
a field of 25-30 trucks. I ran a partial season
at Lanier National Speedway and finished 15th in
points out of 62 drivers.
I am an instructor
for the Richard Petty Driving Experience based
at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In addition I am a
businessperson: I own stock and am active in
Fanz Direct, a motorsports marketing and
promotions company. Our company can deliver over
6,000,000 direct to the fan advertising messages
and samples in 2002.
Part owner of
two racetracks in Georgia. (Golden Isles
Speedway & Cochran Motor Speedway)
President of
National Association of Women in Motorsports.
I have a strong
background in racing and promoting. I have
numerous wins and a Championship to offer a
team. I have both dirt and asphalt experience
in racing. I work extremely well with the
media and represent my sponsors with down home
honesty and sincerity. My goal is to race
NASCAR someday soon.
