Corina  Pettijohn

Corina Pettijohn is 12 years old in the 6th grade in Florida.  She  races a gokart at the local Dirt Devils track.  Corina got into the sport after watching her dad move up through the dirt track and make his way through the World Karting Association national series.  He eventually ending up in the Tampa Bay Area Racing Association where he currently races a sprint car. He has been known to race a Legends car a few times as well.  Since Corina is an only child it was inevitable that she would race like her dad.  Her only problem of being a girl is that her dad hates to think of her getting hurt so he made her wait till she was 11.  She hopes to move up to a bandolero and beyond.  The racerchick Corina admires is Brenda Johnson, wife of Brian Johnson, singer for AD/DC.  Brenda moved up through gokart racing and currently races a vintage car.  We see her race every year when we volunteer at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
