Trace begin
racing in late 1995 in sprint karts in Australia. Since then
she has race around the country finishing with many podium
places. Because of this, Trace was invited to attend the first
ever Motorsport training camp at the famous Australian
Institute of Sport in Canberra. She spent 3 days of training,
working along side many then up and coming drivers, some of
which included Jason Bright, Jason Bargwanna, Steven Richards
and Michael Guest.
Since her
career began, Trace has also been involved in other forms of
motor sport. In 1997 she won the Ladies Autocross series in
Ballarat held by the Light Car Club where she raced a Holden
Camira. Trace has also raced HQ Holdens, both on flat circuits
and also in Superspeedway, at Calder Park's Thunderdome, the
only super speedway circuit in the Southern hemisphere She
finished 5th outright in division two in her debut season. As
long as Trace is somehow involved in motor sport, she'll be in
it.
Trace made
her Superkart debut in October 2001. In only her fourth
superkart race, she won the Australian Superkart Nationals at
the Philip Island circuit in the Rotax Max 125cc non gearbox
class. She still competes regulary in sprint karts and will
defend her Australian number 1 status at the 2003 Superkart
Nationals in South Australia.
