Missy started racing at Grayson County Speedway in
Bells, Texas, in 1995 in the Late Model Class. She had a
steep learning curve, as she had never driven a racecar
before opening night, but earned her first feature win
in 1996. She then moved on to run in the Hot Stock Class
at Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale, Texas, in 1997-1999.
After that she moved to the new, first-class racing
facility, Kennedale Speedway Park (KSP), in Kennedale,
Texas, and ran her Hot Stock there in 2000 and 2001.
On
May 12, 2001, she became the first female to win a
feature race at KSP. When the track phased out the class
at the end of the 2001 season, Missy and her
husband/Crew Chief, Martel, had to decide which class to
move to, and they chose the IMCA Modified Class, which
also runs at KSP. She won her first feature race in the
modified on June 22, 2002. She finished 10th in track
points for the season and won the IMCA Ladies' Cup race
at Abilene Speedway in Abilene, Texas, on October 19,
2002.
With 40-50 modifieds competing weekly at KSP, Missy
and Martel have their work cut out for them in looking
for more feature wins and improving their track
standings each season. They are a good team, and feel
that they can race to the top of their class. Move over
guys, CHICKS FIRST!
Missy's younger brother, Casey McAllister, also races
in the IMCA Modified Class at dirt tracks in the North
Texas/Southern Oklahoma area.
