2000: Ran an eight-race rookie season with TC
Kline Racing in Speedvision Touring Car, recording
five top-10 finishes and a career-best eighth at
San Diego to finish 13th in points.
Previously: Ran first race in 1989 in her street Mazda RX-7, but
didn't compete again until 1993, focusing on SCCA Solo II competition
due to budget constraints. From 1992 through 1994, she won
three-straight Solo II National Championships (in Super Stock Ladies
and A Stock Ladies). In 1997, she took first in the National Tour and
then became the first woman to ever win an "open" class at the Solo
II Nationals, winning A Street Prepared in 1998. She was also named
Driver of the Year in Solo II. In 1999, ran a BMW Z3 in SCCA Club
Racing SSB in preparation for her World Challenge debut. Qualified
15th at the Runoffs, but a crash took her out early. Sat on the pole
for the inaugural Women's Global GT race at Road Atlanta. Won SCCA
Solo II National Tour.
Personal: Born June 26, 1968. Owns The Last
Tangle salon in California and enjoys marathon running and scuba
diving in her free time. Drives a BMW 528i on the street; favorite
foods are pasta and ice cream; likes "chick flicks" and the Dave
Matthews Band; favorite track is Mid-Ohio and racing hero is Ayrton
Senna.
