of her career in a Ferrari 355, earning a best finish
of 26th at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
Previously: Started competition career as an
equestrian until a motorcycle injury left her paralyzed at 18. Began
driving specially-designed race cars in 1998 with hand controls. With
the help of paraplegic Formula One veteran Clay
Regazzoni, learned her technique with a manual-shift car and began racing in the Ferrari
Challenge with a car equipped with paddle shifters. Ran Ferrari
Challenge in 1998 and 1999, also competing in SCCA Club Racing
events in 1999.
Personal: Born October 16, 1968 and is single. Is a graphic
designer/tech writer. Enjoys reading science fiction and playing
Dungeons and Dragons. Drives a Mustang GT on the street; favorite
food is Mexican; favorite movie is Princess Bride and her favorite
music is classic rock. Favorite tracks include Willow Springs and
Laguna Seca and her racing heroes are Clay Regazzoni and Michael
Schumacher.
