SUNNY HOBBS ANNOUNCES ROSES DIRECT SPONSORSHIP

Sunny Hobbs has announced that www.rosesdirect.com will be her primary sponsor when she returns to the track in 2001. While all the terms of the contract were not released, it was revealed that part of the sponsorship money would be derived from web site sales that originate from race fans. Hobbs, a veteran on the stock car circuit, is presently finalizing plans to drive a Bill Davis Racing entry next season. The number of races and series in which the team will compete will be announced at a later date. 

Based in High Point, North Carolina, Hobbs has competed in NASCAR's Late Model Stock Racing Series, the Women's Global GT Series, the Pro Truck Series and the SCCA. "Roses Direct, and its rosesdirect.com division, is an outstanding company, and is nationally known for its high quality Ecuadorian roses. This should be a great relationship since stock car racing gets so much national exposure and that is what www.rosesdirect.com is looking for - national exposure to build its web site business," Hobbs said.

Roses Direct, Inc. based in Orlando, Florida has been known as a leader in the consumer flower business for several years. The sponsorship of the Sunny Hobbs' car should help to drive traffic to the web site, according to Roses Direct President and CEO, Brett Kelly. "We are looking forward to a long association with Sunny and Bill Davis Racing," Kelly continued. "Stock car racing is growing quantitatively in popularity and we are counting on that popularity to help build the customer base for our Internet site," Kelly said. Customers will be able to order roses at the web site and have them delivered anywhere in the United States within 24 to 48 hours. Roses Direct provides its customers with fresher flowers, due to receiving the flowers directly from Ecuador rather than purchasing them at the flower auction in Miami. This practice enables the company to provide the customer with a fresher product.
