Maren Engseth

Sports: Rally - and what we here call "handball" (the teams name is "Sørskogbygda").

Maren has been quite a lot in the media lately - first because she is the only female rally driver in Norway today (there have been others before - and there are female copilots today, as well), second because she is the daughter of Per Engseth - a rally and rallycross legend in Norway.

Maren has done a guest appearance in racing (Peugeot 206 Cup) this summer, but rally is her future. Her career started with autocross when she was sixteen, but at 19 years of age she turned to rally, which is the biggest type of  motorsport in Norway. In 2002 her focus will be driving in a class called "Volvo Original".
