in March 2000), Super Ford, 5.0 magazine,
newspapers, over 24 websites where she was their
Featured Racer or Racer of the Month. She has

"My Classic Car" which aired on TNN's
Speedvision in February 2000.
DRAG RACING BOOK
Cindy has written
her own book on drag racing which will be
published in late summer of the year 2002. This
book is about the basics of drag racing, the
race track, racing tips, procedures, safety,
modifications, women in racing, sponsorship,
etc. This is a very exciting opportunity for
Cindy and we wish her the best. When the book is
published, Racerchicks.com will post how to
order her book.
THE LUPUS
FOUNDATION OF AMERICA
The Lupus
Foundation of America is the largest
organization in the world, dedicated to the
improved detection of Lupus through increased
awareness, alleviation of suffering through
service and support and ultimately, the
eradication of lupus through research. Lupus is
a chronic, autoimmune disease that can attack
any organ in their body. More than 16,000
Americans develop Lupus each year. It is
estimated that 500,000 to 1.5 million Americans
have been diagnosed with Lupus.
She, herself,
suffers with systemic lupus, a chronic
autoimmune disease, but has overcome all odds to
make drag racing her career. She is a
spokeswoman for the Lupus Foundation of America
teaching about lupus. She attends the Lupus
symposiums where she is highly recognized for
her accomplishments to help the Southeast
Chapter of the Lupus Foundation and is a chapter
member.
When Cindy
participates in the races, she sets up a booth
in the pits with Lupus literature, pamphlets and
articles to allow people to learn more about
Lupus. Cindy's rheumatologist has come on board
to sponsor her and help with her cause.
Cindy donates her
race winnings to the Lupus Foundation of America
to help research and find a cure for Lupus. It
is her way of giving back and hopefully helping
in this worthwhile cause.
