Dee Cable
RACING CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1976
Started racing at Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino.
Didn't run for points there.
1978 - Moved to
San Diego area. Raced at Cajon Speedway in El
Cajon. Finished 5th in points in 1979, 1980
and1981 in the limited stock division.
1982 - Moved up
to the faster Super Stock Division with the same
car. No Points -1982, 1983 and 1984.
1985 - Built a
new car. 1985 finished 18th. In 1986 finished
11th
1987 finished 8th; and in 1988 finished 7th.
1989-- Moved to NASCAR
Southwest Tour but only raced part-time.
1990---Moved to NASCAR
Sportsman Division. Raced Part-time, sharing a
car. In 1990 finished 44th;1991 finished 32nd
and in 1992 finished 32nd again, and lastly in
1993 finished 25th.
In 1994 Dee
became the sole driver of the car and finished
15th.
The following year, 1995 she improved to 7th. In
1996 she finished 10th. 1997 was cut in half
with her only racing part-time.
1998 finished 15th,1999 finished 11th and in
2000 finished 6th.
2001 with a new car Dee
finished 7th and was named "SPORTS WOMAN OF THE YEAR"
by the Pacific Woman's Sports Foundation, and one of the
nominees for most Improved Driver of the Year. In 2002,
she is currently in 6th place.
DEE has had quite a few firsts in her racing
career. They are as follows:
1ST Woman to finish 5th in a Men's Division
1ST Woman to win a main event in a Men's
Division
1ST Woman to win a trophy dash in a Men's
Division
1ST Woman to qualify in a super stock trophy
dash.
1ST Woman to qualify in the 16 second bracket
1ST Woman to have 10 years perfect attendance
Dee is also active in taking her car around to schools with
the Racers Against Drugs Group.
