Shannon Brady-Mansch
My name is Shannon Brady-Mansch, I have been racing a
number of years, I started out driving a mini stock when
I was 18 years old at All American Speedway in
Roseville, California. After 3 years of winning many
races and setting new track records, I felt the need for
greater speed! I had a Pro-four late model race car
built, joined a touring division and raced throughout
the Western States, had lots of fun and success,
and most honestly can say I enjoyed those days of my
racing career the most, but all good things come to an
end, the division fell apart! Next I decided to race a
Grand American Modified.
So in 1998 I raced a full season at All American
Speedway and finished 3rd in the points standings. For
the 1999 season I choose to race a larger track, being
the 1/2 mile paved oval at Altamont Raceway Park, there
I improved to a 2nd place finish in the points, and
received the Sports Person of the Year Award. Was also
featured in the movie " Fast Women " a documentary
produced by Rachel Belofsky, the movie also featured
other great women racers such as Lynn St. James, Shirley
Muldowney, Janet Guthrie and many others.
Last year 2002 was a down year for me; I became a
spectator while waiting for my new Pro-Stock late model
to be built. Now 2003, back on the 1/4 mile track at All
American Speedway racing in the Pro-Stock division along
with my husband, Michael Mansch. I have had 6 starts,
3 wins, with all finishes in the top 5. Later this year
I plan on attending end of the year open comp
shows. My next goal is to race Winston West, South West
tour or the Craftsman Truck series, but that takes lots
of money and sponsors which I am looking for now.
I live in Roseville, California, I am 34 years old
and married with no children. I work as a Workers’
Compensation Claims Adjuster for a large third party
administrator. My interests away from racing are
my animals, water sports and traveling.
Shannon Brady-Mansch.
