Melanie Troxel teams with Torco & Schumacher

Top Fuel Driver and Racerchick Melanie Troxel, whom was released from her Prudhomme contract earlier this month, has just been given a driving deal from Torco and Schumacher racing.  She will now pilot the 2nd Schumacher Top Fuel, along side her Army of One teammate Tony.    Taking up crew chief duty will be Richard Hogan.

I'm glad to see Melanie getting back in the seat again. Since Rhonda Hartman announced her taking time off to have another baby, I really missed seeing the ladies out in there in Top Fuel. I'm sure with the backing of DSR and Torco she will have some fast machines that she will drive to victory.

This weekend will be Melanie's first race. I know I have my TIVO set and will anxiously wait to see how well they do. Not expecting a whole lot since the team was put together less than two weeks ago. But coming on half season will give them time to work out the bugs so Melanie can compete for the title next year.
