Driven2win, unites fierce competitors to
become “Dynamic Duo”
Driven2Win.net, Inc., a Florida based
Sport-Compact Drag Racing School, and specialty
parts manufacturer and retailer, announced the
addition of Multi-Time Sport Compact World
Champion driver Lisa Kubo to their staff.
Lisa joins 2003-2004 NHRA PRO/FWD Sport
Compact Champion Nelson Hoyos as one of the
companies’ highly skilled featured instructors.
Lisa has a long list of “first female”
accomplishments in addition to being the only
driver to win three consecutive Sport Compact
championships. Lisa and Nelson are very
passionate about their racing in the same way we
are passionate about our business Driven2win,
said Director of Motorsports, Marla Hoyos.
Besides her duties as an instructor and
professional driver, Lisa will play an important
role promoting Driven2Win’s ANTI-STREET RACING
MESSAGE to their core audience.
“The widespread trend of illegal street
racing has extended into the professional racing
community, said Hoyos. Auto manufacturers,
aftermarket-parts companies, professional drag
racers and sanctioning bodies are not only
concerned with injuries caused by illegal street
racing but also the negative implications that
it puts on the sport in general. It is the
vision of the Driven2win team to create a
coalition of companies and individuals within
the professional racing industry with the goal
of, providing racing enthusiast with education
about the hazards and potentially deadly effects
of illegal street racing and encourage drivers
to “get it off the street and take it to the
track”
In addition to Lisa’s great celebrity
instructor role, we saw other benefits as well.
Our Driven2Win team will develop the first all
female Professional drag racing team in Sport
Compact history. The new team owned by Marla
Hoyos, will be driven by Lisa, and marketed by
an all female firm, while Nelson will serve as a
technical consultant to the team. Lisa’s new
ride will be one of the companies’ 6 second 200+
MPH Cobalt PRO/RWD Jerry Bickel built racecars
to be campaigned in the NHRA and NOPI Sport
Compact racing series events.
Nelson Hoyos will continue to drive for GM
Racing for 2005, debuting a new Cobalt PRO/FWD
championship racecar. “I very proud to continue
with the factory sponsored GM Racing program, as
a team driver, in our quest for a 3rd record
setting championship, said Nelson”
In conjunction with our Driving School, and
Drag Racing Program, Driven2Win’s, business plan
includes a Chevrolet “Tuner Cobalt” performance
parts Dealer program. Our goal is to introduce
the 4500 Chevy dealerships nationwide to our
marketing partner products and give them the
opportunity to become involved in this exciting
$3 billion Sport Compact industry. Our program
is a great example of taking a complete
Motorsports package to the performance minded
retail consumer. This multi-faceted business
plan positions Lisa Kubo and Nelson Hoyos in the
forefront of Sport Compact Drag Racing, giving
consumers and fans the opportunity to join the
Dynamic Duo in their championship quest while
delivering the message of “Keep it off the
Streets and take it to the tracks”
“I am extremely excited about all of the
possibilities given to me by Nelson and Marla
Hoyos. Their Driven2Win, business plan is a
sponsors dream with diversified programs that
extend beyond the drivers seat. This partnership
gives me an opportunity to showcase my driving
talents on and off the track while providing
valuable educational contributions to the Sport
Compact community. I look forward to driving
their championship caliber racecar and taking my
all female team to the winners circle. Watch out
guys here we come-Lisa Kubo”
