Top Women’s Team AGP Racing.com/Yamaha Heads to Millville, Minn. for Round 4 of the Women’s Motocross League Series

Coming off an AMA Amateur National title and in the WML championship hunt,
Whitmore will be a favorite along with former WML champion Satchwell.

Colorado Springs, Colo. (August 13, 2003) The premier professional women’s motocross team, AGP Racing.com/Yamaha, will return to action with riders Tania Satchwell and Sarah Whitmore at Round 4 of the AMA-WML Altex Computers Motocross Championship Series at the Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minn. on August 16-17.The team has had one of its riders finish on the podium at every round this year.

AGP Racing.com’s Whitmore holds second in the WML championship standings, with three rounds remaining. She is coming off one of the best rides of the year following her Women’s 105cc, 125cc & Up class championship win at the AMA/Air Antiques Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Championships on August 9.She bested some of the fastest women motocross racers from across the country on her Yamaha YZ125.In the WML series, Whitmore has finished second in at least one of the two motos at every round this year.

“This year has been awesome,” said AGP Racing.com’s Whitmore, who wears WML number four. “We’ve been in a position for a win on the AGP Racing.com Yamaha at every national race this year. Everything came together last weekend at Loretta Lynn’s (Amateur Nationals).  It feels great to win a title, and hopefully we can pull off a win at Spring Creek.”

AGP Racing.com’s Satchwell had a great comeback from a broken collarbone by placing fourth at WML Round 3.She currently sits in seventh place in the WML championship standings. With strong rides this year and the experience of a former champion, Satchwell cannot be counted out for a win at Spring Creek on her FMF and Factory 909-supported YZ125.

“It was great to get back to racing at Washougal a few weeks ago,” said Satchwell who wears number 105.“We have a good race behind us and now I will charge even harder to run up front on my YZ125. It would be cool for both Sarah (Whitmore) and I to be on the podium at Spring Creek.”

Spring Creek is the start of the final half of the WML series. All rounds are run in conjunction with the AMA/Chevy Trucks U.S. Motocross Championships. At Spring Creek, WML moto one will be held on Saturday, August 16, while moto two will be held the next day before AMA 125cc National moto one.

Fans can meet AGP Racing.com riders, Satchwell and Whitmore, when they sign autographs at a session with other women professional riders on Spring Creek’s vendor row during the race weekend. Times will be announced at the track by the WML.

AGP Racing.com, with major support from Yamaha, Thor and FMF, fields the premier professional women’s motocross team of Tania Satchwell (#105) and Sarah Whitmore (#4).The team is owned by Advanced Graphics & Publishing (AGP), based out of Colorado Springs, Colo.
