Statesville, NC (December 3, 2003) – Leilani
Münter and LesCare Kitchens Inc. have announced
a partnership for 2004 racing season. The team
has already begun to accumulate race cars and
set up shop in the 310,000 sq-ft LesCare
Kitchens plant in Statesville, North Carolina.
For 2004 the team plans to run late models
throughout the southeastern United States with
the possibility of some NASCAR Busch North, ASA,
or ARCA events.
"LesCare Kitchens is proud to be involved
with Leilani Münter. Not only is she a promising
young race car driver, she is an excellent
spokesperson for LesCare Kitchens Inc." said
Chairmen and CEO James C. Lestorti, "We look
forward to being involved in her racing career
in 2004 and beyond. We are in this for the long
haul. We are building a race team."
"I can't tell you how happy I am to be a part
of the LesCare Kitchens racing family," said
Münter, "LesCare has been involved in
motorsports for over 14 years and have had a
very successful past with drivers like Teddy
Christopher, Reggie Ruggiero, Mike 'Magic Shoes'
McGlaughlin, and Andy Santerre. I am honored to
be a part of their race program and look forward
to racing into my future with LesCare Kitchens
Inc."
Münter, who has appeared in the magazines FHM,
Esquire, Men's Journal and ESPN, addressed the
somewhat inordinate amount of media attention
she has received as a late model competitor.
"I'm thrilled to finally have the chance to be
out there racing every weekend. It seems like
forever I have been doing publicity trying to
land a full time sponsor," said Münter, "Now I
can just drive. This is what I've been waiting
for."
