Racecar Driver Jennifer Jo Cobb to Appear at
“Best of Leavenworth” within Hours of Getting
off the track at Chicagoland Speedway
Come meet local race car driver/spokesperson
Jennifer Jo Cobb during the “Best of
Leavenworth” on Friday, Sept. 10 from 7-9 p.m.
at the Leavenworth Landing Park. Cobb is
sponsored by Providence Health, which includes
Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan. and
Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Providence Health is her official healthcare
provider.
In order to attend the Best of Leavenworth
event, the hospitals made special arrangements
for Cobb’s appearance between her qualifying run
on Thursday, practice on Friday and her ARCA
RE/MAX Series race at Chicagoland Speedway on
Saturday. Jennifer will finish practice at
Chicagoland Speedway around 2pm on Friday, will
fly from Chicago to Kansas City and will arrive
at the Best of Leavenworth event around 7pm. She
will be there for about 2 hours, will then
arrive back in Chicago around midnight and then
will race on Saturday, which will be televised
live on SPEED Channel at 1pm. “I offered to do
this for Providence Health because they have
been so supportive of my racing career and I
wanted to help them with this great event and I
look forward to meeting a lot of great people at
the Best of Leavenworth Event,” Cobb said.
“Jennifer believes that wellness and staying
healthy is a top priority and felt it was
important to help us promote this message at the
Best of Leavenworth event,” Catherine Rice,
Providence Health Marketing and Volunteer
Services director said. “We arranged for her to
fly from Chicago to Leavenworth after her
practice runs on Friday afternoon. She will fly
back to Chicago on Friday night and be ready to
race on Saturday.”
Jennifer is coming off a 7th place finish at
Nashville Super Speedway and a 9th place finish
at Kansas. Jennifer is hoping to compete in the
Mr. Goodcents 300 NASCAR Busch Series Race at
Kansas Speedway, subject to sponsorship and
NASCAR approval. Providence Health, along with
Nick-N-Willy’s World Famous Take-N-Bake Pizza
have committed to provide sponsorship support
for the Kansas Busch Race in October, but
additional sponsorship must still be secured for
Jennifer to make the race.
Additionally, Cobb is a Richard Petty Driving
Experience Instructor at various race tracks
throughout the U.S., including but not limited
to Daytona International Speedway, Indianapolis
Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, California
Speedway and Michigan Speedway. Cobb is also the
co-host of “Inside Motorsports” a weekly motor
sports show on every Monday at 6pm on Time
Warner Cable’s Metro Sports. |
