The TRAKMED Medical Identification System is a revolutionary advance in
racetrack emergency medical preparedness. The TRAKMED system enables
subscribers to provide timely and concise medical information to safety and
emergency track personnel in the event of an emergency.
Confidential
medical information is contained within a multi-part labeling system for the
driver's helmet, suit and car. We spoke
with the heart of the Company Marian - a nurse
with first hand experience. She reminded
us that on average 250,000 people die a year,
just by drug interactions on their way to
the hospital.
Accurate and
up-to-date medical information about each
subscriber is obtained through completion of
the TrakMed
subscription form. This information
is then compiled and issued to the driver in
the following applications:

Dual
part helmet label-
Each subscriber is issued dual part helmet
labels. In the event of an
emergency, the top layer is peeled back to
reveal confidential medical information
specific to the subscriber.

Supplementary
medical packet-
More detailed medical information is
contained in the supplemental
medical packet worn under the
driver's suit on a break-away lanyard.

Additional
labels- Other TrakMed
labels are issued to drivers for placement
on the car to immediately indicate
subscription to the TrakMed service.
Time is often the most critical element in treating trauma patients. Rapid
access to medical information about the injured person can shorten the time
required for certain treatment decisions and prevent inappropriate
interventions. The information provided to emergency track personnel via
