2001 LYN ST. JAMES
"DRIVER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM"
 The
7th LSJ Driver Development Program will be
held in Indianapolis on November 29 - December
2, 2001. Hosted by the Lyn St. James
Foundation, the program is designed to enhance
the skills of race car drivers on and off the
track. These skills are the ingredients that
help prepare drivers to become professionals,
not just participants.
Lyn St. James, 7 time Indy 500 Driver and 1992
Indy 500 Rookie of the Year, created the Lyn
St. James Driver Development Program in 1994,
a course designed to help aspiring race car
drivers learn the skills necessary to be
successful in the world of professional race
car driving. The program is part of the Lyn
St. James Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit,
educational organization that focuses on
worldwide activities and programs for
automotive safety and driver development.
St. James' program, the most comprehensive of
its kind, mental and physical preparation,
testing and training provided by Human
Performance International, public speaking and
media training, seminars on the business of
racing, and presentations by leaders in
various areas of motor sports. Cost of this
year's program is $595.00.
Lyn has graduated 146 drivers from 34 states &
2 countries. Selected graduates who have gone
on to pursue professional racing careers with
noted success are:

Potential candidates must have prior racing
experience and be dedicated in pursuing a
career in professional motorsports.
Scholarships are available and are generally
awarded based on need and eligibility. Program
space is limited and participants will be
selected based on racing career goals and
experience
