Mathesons saves Nika
Racerchicks.com does not condone breaking the law in
any way shape or form but we understand that
occasionally one does receive the dreaded traffic
ticket. Although we have been blessed for over 15 years
of clean driving - we have within the last 6 months
received 2 violations.... strangely enough from the SAME
police officer, and both in a Ferrari.
This is where Nika sighs in frustration - what to do?
The first ticket anyone ever receives - is truly a
traumatic experience when one takes driving seriously.
It is especially upsetting when in all fairness - it was
NOT deserved. Point #1 - Standard vehicle - large
incline hill with stop sign. Accused of rolling through
it - the famous "California Stop".
The ticket you receive is failing to stop (obviously)
but it represents that you blatantly drove through a
stop sign with complete disregard for the safety of
others. Rolling through, at under a mile an hour is NOT
in my opinion a threat to anyone's well being. I'm going
to court!!

The legal process we know is quite complicated and as
a newbie to this it was gratifying to know that I had
tiger in my court. The whole process went smoothly - and
everyone there, although with a slight chuckle,
understood why I actually felt honoured to have received
my first ticket driving my dream car, a Ferrari..... I
mean, who really wants to get a ticket in a Lada or
something!!!
Mathesons is a firm believer in safe driving and
rigorously promotes that - but on the same token they,
like myself, believe that people can make mistakes and
learn from them - certain situations do not deserve the
punishment they receive. As for my "first ever" speeding
ticket, let's not go there - Nika is just happy that she
saved David Matheson's card - maybe it's time to put it
in the rolodex!!
If you have received a traffic violation - feel free
to contact the gang from Mathesons- just tell them Nika
sent you and that she's been driving the Jeep a lot
instead of the Ferrari - it just seems to keep her out
of trouble.
