Fourth Generation Corvettes Reunite At Museum's "Gathering" Event
Bowling Green, KY - The Museum's recent "Gathering" event held May 17-20 was
a memorable reunion for 350 pre-registered enthusiasts, with total
attendance exceeding over 1,500 throughout the four days. The weekend's
excitement included tours of the Corvette Assembly Plant, autocross and drag
racing exhibitions, seminars, tech sessions and more. An array of fourth
generation Corvettes were on-hand including ZR-1's, Callaway Corvettes,
Grand Sports and 40th Anniversary Corvettes, along with co-hosts and
supporters from the ZR-1 Net, the Grand Sport Owners Association, 40th
Anniversary Corvette Registry, Team ZR-1 and the LT-5 Registry.
A memorable banquet and auction that benefited the Museum was one of
the weekend's highlights, where over $4,000 was raised. The "Dave McLellan
Cup" was presented to retiring GM Powertrain team member, Jack Underwood.
The special award is presented to a Corvette enthusiast that has made a
significant contribution for the betterment of the Corvette community.
Event coverage was made available throughout the weekend via the Museum's
