HONDA CANADA TO DEBUT S2000 SPA YELLOW PEARL
AT CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW
TORONTO (February 9, 2001) -- Combining the all-weather comfort of a removable hardtop with attention-grabbing paint, the S2000 Spa Yellow Pearl is a pure sports car for the Canadian performance enthusiast.
Set to be unveiled at the Canadian International Auto show in Toronto, the S2000 Spa Yellow Pearl will be available in limited quantities only. Standard equipment on this special version of the S2000 includes a
colour-matched removable hardtop and a car cover.
The benchmarks for the S2000 Spa Yellow Pearl remain the same as other S2000s: 120 horsepower per
litre; the highest output of any naturally aspirated mass-produced engine in the world; and the capability of meeting California's Low Emissions Vehicle standards.
Built in Japan at the Takanezawa plant along side the
NSX, Honda associates assemble the S2000 in a natural atmosphere that promotes passion for the vehicle. As a spiritual successor to Honda's first sports car the S500, the S2000 Spa Yellow Pearl also represents four decades of racing heritage.
More details on the S2000 Spa Yellow Pearl will be announced on Media Day at the 2001 Canadian International Auto Show on
February 15.
